She will provide a comprehensive evaluation, including digital pictures, X-rays, and a possible scan. Dr. K will offer her recommendation and options for treatment. She will discuss payment plans and the expected length of the treatment.
First, and this is very important, is the ability to avoid METAL! Or, even worse, having two rounds of metal braces! In many treatment plans, patients who have been told they need two phases of metal braces can avoid the costs and pain associated with this plan. We can discuss alternative solutions such as bite plates, orthodontic trainers, and, of course, Invisalign First. All of which can help us move the teeth and prepare us for the one necessary “round” of braces. Best of all, most qualify for Invisalign, for the same cost or less than the cost of METAL!
If traditional metal braces are absolutely necessary, Dr. K uses a special type of smaller brackets and wires that are much more comfortable and have actually been shown to move teeth faster.
It is fast, effective, and YUCK-FREE! While this eliminates a very uncomfortable part of the traditional process, it also helps you get a proper fitting - assisting in a faster, more effective treatment plan!
